goodbye… for now
See you next year
Mark your calendars for 29-30th May 2027.
Until next time.
It’s a wrap

2026 champions

Four minutes to go
Our media and management teams head to the pit-lane as we prepare to re-crown KBR and DNH Miles-Shelby Squad in a moment’s time.
Phoenix to finish the race
It’s been an eventful race for Phoenix DMAX. They’ve spent the last five minutes or so in the engineering bay. Our team have their kart back in action, so at least they’ll get to finish. They were in the top ten and have ended up 13th.
Fuel Misjudgement
Vertice Forza have had to nip to the fuel bay for a splash & dash, dropping from fourth to sixth.
Algorithmic Ascendancy are fourth, MasterCart Slola fifth.
The fuel bay slams shut.
Will Red Burros hold out?
Our analysts reckon Red Burros are going to be cutting it fine with their fuel life. They’re a lap ahead of Vertice Forza – but will they need to pit – or are they going to risk it?
One hour to go

Positions to be decided
In DMAX, Algorithmic Ascendancy could still catch the Red Burros for P3.
Momentum Motorsport and MasterCart Slola have both pitted for the final time to sub in their fastest drivers. They’re both competing with Vertice Forza for P5.
Phoenix DMAX and Raven Alpha are battling for eighth.
Below them, Recovered Rockets, TSB Motorsport, Pitlane Panic and Apex Nova are all equal on laps, as are Black Forest and the Mandem.
In the SODIs, No Team Name are two laps ahead of DNH Senna’s Squadron in the battle for fourth.
TRX Academy, DNH Iron Dames, MSKT and The Lawnmowers are all on the same lap in the race for P6.
Below them GFM Grey, The Fat and Furious and GFM Yellow could all still finish in the top ten.
Double stint
Brad Philpot completes his final fuel stop, fills the tank to the top during a quick hydration break, and resumes racing two laps ahead of Six Helmets.
The team in P2 still need to complete another fuel stop.
Fastest laps
As it stands a member of Algorithmic Ascendancy and No Team Name will become the proud owners of a limited edition TW Steel x Daytona TW1021 watch.

Running away with it
KBR are a full five laps ahead of Six Helmets now. It’s unlikely they’ll slip up from here.
The SODI contest is much closer, just a lap separating the race leaders.
2 hours to go
KBR and DNH Miles-Shelby Squad leading in their respective classes and look set to retain their titles. Still 120 minutes remaining here.
Red Burros look comfortable in third place, as do Some Random Bloke.

Disruption
High-flying DNH team Senna’s Squad serve a double black flag penalty for ABC takeout and then pit lane speed.
They were in fourth but drop down to fifth, allowing No Team Name through.
Their sister team DNH Ickx’s also receive a track limits penalty.

zzz

Driver change
James King pulls into the pits ready to swap with Brad Philpot. They’re refueling with under three hours to go. They’ll get two full stints on their tank from here – which means they’re set to run out of fuel just after chequered – the perfect strategy?
Six Helmets, meanwhile, are midway through their current stint and will need to splash-and-dash on their final stint.

Breaking news
CSM Racing receive a black flag penalty, handing the race lead to DNH Miles-Shelby Squad.

Overnight recap
John summarises what happened overnight and early this morning.
Dream Debut
It’s Vertice Forza’s first outing as a team at this race, and they’re having a great time.
Captain Richard Levett was a late entry in our wildcard team last year and was desperate to come back for a second crack.
They’re in P4 and have podium ambitions.

Refuel Stop
Race leaders Six Helmets Racing come into the pits to fuel up and swap drivers. Jenson Brown ends his stint and Cameron Noble subs in.
KBR now in front, James King still in the drivers seat.
Inter-team rivalries
Hampshire-based GFM Grey are currently three places and four laps ahead of their sister team, GFM Yellow in the SODI Race.
Ninth-placed MSKT are 17 laps ahead of MSKT Community.
In the DNH contest – the impressive Senna’s Squadron sit in fourth, four laps ahead of sixth-placed Iron Dames. Ickx’s Icons are in 18th position, with Hawthorns Heroes in 24th position.
Over in the DMAX, Raven Alpha are having a great race, currently in eighth, with their sister team down in 22nd.
MasterCart Slola
These guys will be desperate to finish on the podium – they’re hugely experienced with a team stacked with DMAX champs veterans and they’ve been racing at this event since 2017.
They’re in for a shot for their first ever podium here.
Algorithmic Ascendancy, in fourth, just received another penalty and MasterCart Slola are gaining on them, equal on laps.
momentum
Momentum Motorsport are climbing the standings, currently in P7.
They were in third for periods yesterday, before dropping down to ninth, but are seemingly living up to their name.
They’re in contention for silverware in just under five hours time if it all goes their way.

neck-and-neck
Six Helmets Racing have taken the lead!
KBR just pitted and swapped drivers. It’s unclear as to which team has pitted more and where they are in terms of fuel – but as it stands, Six Helmets Racing are in P1.
It’s Jenson Brown vs James King out there.

head-to-head
The CSM Racing and DNH Miles-Shelby Squad contest is so exciting.
Both teams are consistently lapping in the 1:15/1:16 mark.
CSM Racing received one track limits penalty overnight, Miles-Shelby haven’t received any.
At the moment it’s anybody’s race – CSM are 30 seconds in front as it stands.

Portuguese powerhouses
The Red Burros are battling for third, ahead of Algorithmic Ascendancy at the time of writing. This would be massive for the team if they can remain consistent – it’s only their second outing here at the Daytona 24 hours.
Algorithmic Ascendancy just received another black flag penalty. They were squeaky clean until 21:30 yesterday, but received a few penalties overnight, which saw them drop out of the race for the lead – they were in P1 throughout the day yesterday after taking pole.

Phoenix penalties
Phoenix DMAX were having a blinder of a race, touching the top five throughout the day yesterday.
They were penalised four times overnight – including a five lap penalty for being underweight – they’re now all the way down in 13th.
Overnight ambience

Race day two
Good morning all.
We’re back up and running and just received the lowdown from Race Control.
No major upsets overnight in the lead of this race, but there’s been dozens of teams penalised.
KBR are winning in the DMAX, a lap ahead of Six Helmets, and Vertice Forza were up in third until recently – one of the surprise packages of the race so far. Red Burros are in the mix for third place too.
Algorithmic Ascendancy, who led this race for a long portion yesterday, are in fourth, and experienced 24-hour competitors MasterCart Slola are fifth.
In the SODIs, it’s shootout between last year’s protaganists, CSM Racing and DNH Miles-Shelby. CSM just received a penalty and this one looks set to go down to the wire.
Some Random Bloke are in third, with Senna’s Squadron and Iron Dames still battling it out for fifth.
No Team Name are still battling for fifth and have been steadily climbing the ranks.

Day one wrap up
Amber recounts all the action from Saturday.
TOP TIMES
Ladies and gentlemen, as we bring our commentary to a close for the evening, we thought we’d take a final look at the fastest times in each class.

kNOCKED BACK, BUT NOT OUT
Last year we saw Algorithmic Ascendancy’s title dreams scuppered by penalties. This year they returned with renewed vigour and have been fighting hard at the front end of the field true to their form. Still within sight of the front, they sit in P3 after unwelcome deja vu hits and they are pushed back via penalty for exceeding track limits.
Fear not, this is not their first rodeo. We expect to see them back in the mix come sunrise.

keep fighting fit
As we start to consider the long-haul stints of night time racing we thought we’d share some tips on keeping sharp and feeling positive tonight:
• Eat properly, even when you don’t feel hungry. Our kitchen will be open all night to keep you fuelled.
• Keep your fluids up. Tiredness and frustration hit much harder when you’re dehydrated.
• Try to sleep when you can. Even 20–30 minutes of proper rest can make a huge difference during the night hours.
• Don’t dwell on mistakes. Keep your head in the game and focus on your driving.
• Get some fresh air between stints. A short walk outside the pitlane can help clear your head.
• Check in on your teammates. Morale spreads quickly, good and bad.
• Limit caffeine overload. Too much too early usually leads to a crash later in the race.
As always, our team will be trackside to assist with any issues, no matter the size.
sodi hunt
In our Four-Stroke class, The Lawnmowers pursuit of Andrew Strike’s CSM Racing is beginning to look all the more challenging as the gap from P1-P2 stretches to two laps after a stint of close chasing.
As we write this the pendulum has swung back and The Lawnmowers are back in the fight, dropping the gap and taking sight of CSM Racing.
This feels like a battle that will rage on well into the night. The only question is, who can hold out for longer?
on the precipice of battle
KBR have emerged from the fog of the pack and are within eyesight of DMAX frontrunners, Algorithmic Ascendancy. Heading onto lap 364 their gap is just three tenths of a second.
We have conformation. After 365 laps KBR have crawled their way back to the top position as Brad Philpot passes race start leading the procession.
Golden hour Loading

P1 & P2
Algorithmic Ascendancy and KBR are beginning to edge clear of the field, stretching away from the pack as the race settles into a long-run rhythm.
The pair are separated by a lap, with third-placed Six Helmets a further four laps back and just struggling to keep touch with the leading pace.
Due to increased tyre wear in the hot conditions, DMAX maintenance stops have now been brought forward to 19:45.
Algorithmic Ascendancy will be the first to come in for their scheduled service.
Normal business resumes
No surprises about the two teams two laps ahead of everyone else.
Two masters of strategy – Scott Clengahan of CSM vs DNH’s Chris Thompson.
Who’s going to outwit the other?

A quarter of the way there
That’s gone quick.
Here’s how we’re lining up after six hours.

Apex Nova reflect on misfortune
Apex Nova came flying out of the blocks earlier on, only to run out of fuel and lose all their progress.
From Portugal, with love
Amber caught up with the captain of the Red Burros earlier.
We said they got the fastest lap in testing. Turns out it was our kart tester…
Another one…
Voltarol Racing, who had such a difficult start to their race earlier had worked their way up to the top ten.
After serving their penalty, they sped away from the sin bin, and received another one.
They’re now winning an unwanted competition – the team with the most penalties (three).
It seems fatigue is starting to kick in.
Vertice Forza
Vertice Forza spent a large portion of today’s race in the top three – but damage to their radiator led to a trip to the engineering bay for a repair.
They’re now all the way down in 13th.
Four black flags at once
Four teams ignored our yellow flags – and they’re four big names – Voltarol Racing, Apex Nova, No Team Name and Some Random Bloke.
Those penalties hand advantage to The Lawnmowers, DNH Miles-Shelby and CSM Racing, as they pull away from their rivals.
KBR back on top
Peter Stockwin prepares to enter the fray, replacing Ashley Mayston-King, who’s taken the race lead after a solid stint.
That pit stop has handed the advantage back to Algorithmic Ascendancy, who return to the head of the field.

Trouble for TRX
TRX Academy find themselves in the tyre wall at turn two.
They then push themselves away from the barrier and head to the engineering bay for a speedy repair.
They then exit the pit lane and will quickly find out they’ve received a penalty for having their hands and feet outside of the kart on circuit.
They’re all the way down in 14th after being second less than an hour ago.
…
Seconds after posting the previous update, Six Helmets’ Brown comes too quickly into the pit lane ad received a black flag!
Algorithmic Ascendancy pull away.
two battles for supremacy
Jenson Brown of Six Helmets has closed the gap to leaders Algorithmic Ascendancy to just over a second.
Meanwhile, Chris Thompson’s DNH Miles-Shelby Squad are closing in on first-placed The Lawnmowers.
Five hours in

Action in the sunshine

TRX are flying
TRX Academy have climbed into P2 as we reach the 4.5-hour mark – and they’re having an outstanding race so far.

PAIN FOR SOME RANDOM BLOKE
Our race leaders serve a black flag penalty for pit lane speed and drop all the way down to seventh!
CSM Racing capitalise and take the lead.
TRX Academy and DNH Senna’s Squadron make up the top three.
Rising from the ashes
There’s a lot of driver swaps taking place in the pit lane – and the top spaces are chopping and changing every other minute.
One team that are having a wonderful outing are Phoenix DMAX. Despite being a young team, this is their sixth 24-hour race as a team.
They’re flying!

Retirees
We’ve just learned that Team Tism have retired from the race – so now there’s 24 DMAX teams remaining.
Head-to-Head for p1

A recap of early proceedings
Double jeopardy
Gasket Cases receive a double penalty – first for pitlane speed, and then for an unsafe re-entry – they’re now dead last in the SODI category.
3 Hours in
One eighth into the race, here’s a snapshot of the leaderboard.

Big MOMENT!
KBR’s Lee Schnitzler has just received a penalty for an unsafe release and is currently sitting in the sin bin for 30 seconds.
Algorithmic Ascendancy capitalise and take the lead just before the three hour mark.
The Lawnmowers
It’s become a little pit stop-heavy in the last few cycles, making it difficult to get a clear read on the outright order.
Most of the usual frontrunners remain firmly in the mix among the SODIs, with DNH Miles-Shelby currently running second, Some Random Bloke in third and CSM Racing in fourth.
One of the more refreshing stories developing in the field, though, is The Lawnmowers – a newly-formed team brought together specifically for this event. Made up of six drivers with an average age of just 16, they continue to hold their own against some vastly more experienced opposition.

From the Camera ROll

Over Two Hours in
The DMAX standings already have a familar ring to them – KBR first, Six Helmets Racing second, Algorithmic Ascendancy third – that’s how it finished last year.
Meanwhile, CSM have built a 28-second lead over second-placed TRX Academy, and DNH Iron Dames are currently third.
Last year’s winners DNH Miles-Shelby Squad have found consistency and are climbing the standings – they’re now in sixth.
CSM Racing in their natural habitat
Andrew Strike’s CSM are now in the lead. They’d been tailing No Name Racing for dozens of laps, until the former leaders pitted.
Ancaster Leisure on Tour are in second place.
Masters of strategy
KBR take advantage of the full course yellows to implement a great pit stop jumping them almost a lap ahead of the rest of the field – as James King enters the fray – and now they’re in the lead.

Drama & heartbreak
Apex Nova, who started so well, have run out of fuel on the circuit and have to be recovered.
There’s a hefty penalty for that and they’re all the way down in eighteenth position.
Full yellow circuit.

Despair for TSB
A five-lap penalty has been enforced for Coventry-based team TSB Motorsport after being found underweight on the weighbridge has severely dented their chances.

ONE Hour in
The top three teams with 23 hours remaining.
Although, Six Helmet Racing would be included but they pitted just before we made the graphic…

Curse of the commentator
After just singing their praises, the Mandem are the first team in the engineering bay after their kart appears to have sustained damage.
That’s going to drop them right down the standings.
Race Start from the sky
Shout out to the mandem
In their first 24 hours race, the Mandem have made a solid start, they’re in seventh place after 35 laps and putting in consistent times.

half an hour in
It’s last year’s DMAX antagonists Six Helmets Racing in the lead, five seconds ahead of Apex Nova, with the polesitters Algorithmic Ascendancy in third.
Some Random Bloke just overtook DNH Hawthorns Heroes to take the lead in the SODIs, and CSM Racing are in third.
Voltarol Racing
We reported at 11:57 that Voltarol Racing didn’t go out for qualifying – it turns out they ran out of fuel at the end of Practice, meaning they had to serve a minute and a half penalty before race start.
They’re dead last – and they’ve just received an additional five minute penalty for tampering with their fuel cap.
Mountain to climb for the team that finished fourth last year.
Remember, you can minimise this and flick over to the Penalties tab.

Doh!
A bad start for Raven Alpha, who now find themselves all the way in 22nd, chasing their 21st placed sister team.

t1 cameraman

poetry in motion
Standing in Race Control for the race start and watching Shane Brown & co. at work was a thing of beauty – every moment planned, orchestrated and executed to perfection, from pit exit to green light and the DMAX smoke blanket.
This is probably his tenth 24 hours – he’s lost count.
Race start
And we’re off!
Here’s the starting grids for the race…

an air of anticipation
There’s a growing sense of anticipation around the circuit as the atmosphere builds ahead of the race. Teams are making their final preparations in the background, while drivers place their helmets on and take their places in the pit lane.
The calm before the storm.
Take a bow, Zachary
Young Zachary Smith, aged 14, qualified in third position for DNH Hawthorne’s Heroes at his first 24 hours.
A big moment for the youngster.
Polesitters in action
Here are the two trailblazers our competitors will be seeing from behind at 13:00.

This Morning’s Busy pitlane
Chequered flag
Some Random Bloke’s 49-and-a-half-year-old captain Greg Owens take pole position!
DNH Hawthorn’s Heroes will be joining them on the front row, after their last lap was the fastest. The Lawnmowers finished third, DNH Senna’s Squadron fourth, and CSM Racing fifth.

five laps in
Some Random Bloke sit at the top of the standings, having just gone three tenths quicker than The Lawnmowers.
Half way mark
As it stands, No Team Name are the fastest team, their third lap leapfrogs DNH Hawthorn’s Heroes.
SODI Qualifying
And the 4-stroke drivers make way. Will No Team Name repeat their pace from last night’s Testing?
it’s Toby time!
Toby Gould has taken pole for Algorithmic Ascendancy.
Apex Nova came mightily close on their final lap – but were 0.04 seconds off the leaders. Verice Forza in third.

3 minutes to go
Vertice Forza are back at the top of the Qualifying standings. Algorithmic Ascendancy initially were the first team to break into the 1:05s, but then Vertice immediately overtook them.
Meanwhile, Voltarol Racing remain in the pitlane – not sure why they’re not taking part in Qualifying – but they’re going to start from the back if they don’t get a move on.
Chopping & changing
Black & Blue recorded the fastest lap – then Red Burros – then Vertice Forza – and now Six Helmets after their first flying lap, as we the leaderboard changes lap after lap.
DMAX Qualifying Begins
Drivers need to complete just one lap for qualifying, although they’ve got ten minutes to find their pace and secure pole position.
Fastest laps from practice
Black & Blue set their fast lap early on in the 100-minute Practice – 1:05.722.
Some Random Bloke were the only team in the 1:14s.
Qualifying coming right up.

Energy Preservation
Still no sign of KBR out on circuit. The team completed 1.5 hours of running in testing last night, but have yet to appear in this morning’s practice sessions.
Brad Philpot has just sent through an update from the paddock – the team making the most of the sunshine, with Peter Stockwin reportedly taking the opportunity for a quick nap.

Practice pitlane pictures

Black Forest Racing
Amber caught up with Leon Franken, captain of Black Forest Racing, whose team have flown in from Germany for to take part in the race.
SOME RANDOM BLOKE
Team captain Greg Owens was happy to be recognised by the media team earlier on – he says it’s the closest thing to famous he’s ever felt. They’ve raced in this event for the past ten years.
They’re the fastest SODI team out there at the moment – Greg achieved the fastest lap in last year’s race and earned himself a Daytona x TW Steel watch.
They fly in Romain Farigoule from France every year for this event – recognisable in his white suit and being about a foot taller than his teammates.
Black & Blue Racing
The fastest DMAX team half way through practice as Black & Blue – a team of six who know eachother through motorbike racing.
They first competed in this event in 2024 and finished third, with very little experience in kart racing at the time.
Two of them live in Switzerland and flew in especially for this event.
They’ve recruited Daytona Sandown Park SuperChamps driver Finn Hart for the occaision.
Your 24 hours commentary team
We’d like to welcome the commentary team for this year’s event, who will be guiding us through the twists and turns from the booth over the next 24 hours.
Amber Jones returns for her second Daytona 24-hour race. She has been a regular presence across major Daytona events in recent years, including endurance races and championship finals, as well as work across the Jamie Chadwick Series. Outside of karting, Amber also works as an event host for manufacturers including Ferrari, McLaren and Aston Martin, and has experience in media training and coaching with More Than Equal.
Joining her is John Ratcliff, a familiar voice within the karting paddock and a regular feature at Daytona championship events. Over the past year he has presented a range of motorsport events, including the Daytona Race of Champions and the BRSCC Demon Tweeks Audi TT Cup Championship, alongside extensive commentary across UK karting.

The MoNey Shot

Practice Strategy
Teams will be out there testing their fuel life in these warm conditions.
Most teams tend to send out their fastest driver first to test the kart, and then pass insights onto their teammates as they swap.
Or in KBR’s case – you preserve your energy and let the other teams wear out their tyres whilst you watch the action from the sidelines. They’re yet to send a driver out today.
Black & Blue Racing are the fastest DMAX team out there as it stands, Some Random Bloke the fastest SODI.
Practice commences
100-minutes of valuable practice time is upon us.
There’s plenty of track time ahead, but these early laps will be invaluable as teams begin getting comfortable with their machinery and drivers build confidence around the International Circuit.
For deeper insights and session data, head over to the Speedhive app. For a quick glance at the order, the Live Timing tab is available throughout the session – best viewed in landscape mode.
The racing line
Drivers and team managers were out on the tarmac earlier this morning for the traditional track walk, getting a closer look at the sun-baked conditions and talking through the racing lines ahead of the opening sessions.

Action from the paddock
It’s been a busy morning behind the scenes, but preparations are now complete as the paddock comes to life. Drivers and crews are fed, briefed, suited up and through the cameras – with everyone now set and ready for the first on-track action of the day.

GOOD MORNING
Today’s the day.
The countdown to the 24 Hours of Daytona begins in earnest, with the official practice sessions getting under way from 10am as all drivers hit the track.
It’s a wrap
And that’s it for testing. We’ll be back bright and early tomorrow.
Here’s all the action from the day.
15 minutes remaining
As the daylight begins to dim and testing draws to a close, we have four DMAX teams in the 1:05s – Red Burros, Apex Nova, Six Helmets and Voltarol.
DNH Hawthorn’s heroes
We have a second SODI team who have broken the 1:14 mark – but No Team Name just doubled down and their most recent lap is their fastest yet – 1:14.608.
Red Burros come charging through
Portuguese for ‘donkeys’, the Red Burros prove they are anything but slow.
A member of the five man team has just set the fastest lap in the DMAX category.
They fly over from Portugal to race here every year.
Lovely blokes too.
Team photos
Calling all teams – please make sure you report to the photo booth upstairs tomorrow for your official team photos, so we can make a graphic about you when you’re winning. Or in last position.
Here’s our new friends at IGC Racing modelling the booth.
They’re a group of construction co-workers from Scotland, racing in the DMAX class this weekend.

Slow down…
If you minimise this tab and navigate to the penalties tab, you’ll see that we already have half a dozen offenders – five of which are for pit lane speed.
It’s the easiest penalty to earn at this event – and has cost countless teams podiums in the past.
Walking pace, guys. Do you even pay attention to Martin?
Go-karts
Our first of very many racing snaps.

no team name…
The fastest SODI team so far is No Team Name.
They’re the only competitors to break the 1:14 mark so far.
Early Pacesetters
A quarter of the way into testing it’s Kai Ferner’s Apex Nova who have recorded the fastest lap – 1:05.608.
They’re going to be a force to reckon with – lots of local talent and SuperChamps contenders in their team of six.
They’re lucky we know all about them… because they didn’t return a team bio.
Race control – three lap penalty for that?
Testing Commences
And we’re off!
You can view basic Speedhive timings from the ‘Live Timings’ tab on this page – put it in full screen mode and rotate your phone.
For better insights, including where your team member is on track, and detailed lap-by-lap analysis, we recommend downloading the Speedhive app.

Here they come…
Guests are starting to arrive and the music is blaring.
Fist bumps, hugs and handshakes.
Daytona’s 2026 24 Hours is officially underway!

GROWING ROOM
Long overdue, you’ll notice a brand-new celebrity leaderboard as you walk into the venue, which allows us some much-needed growing room.
You’ll also notice that we now have a section dedicated to Daytona champions – KBR’s and DNH Miles-Shelby Squad’s names emblazoned in all their glory.
There’s also a section for lap records – which are guaranteed to be set this weekend, with the brand new DMAX fleet making their debut at Daytona Milton Keynes today. We’re also going to reset the SODI lap record.
New board, new records.

Welcome, new DMAX
And here they are, the new DMAX arrivals.
The karts were previously located at Daytona Sandown Park, although they all have all been fitted with brand new chassis for this race.
They’ll be living here at Daytona Milton Keynes from now on. As always, our engineering team have been working around the clock to ensure your karts are in the best nick possible.

Kart Lineups
In case you missed yesterday’s kart draw, here are the machines our teams will do battle in.

A glance at the SODI battle
There are two previous champions set to do battle tomorrow.
In one corner, we have Andrew Strike’s CSM Racing – 3x champions, and in the other we have Chris Thompson’s DNH Miles-Shelby Squad – the title holders.
In 2024 CSM were victorious, and Miles-Shelby Squad were third; the same result in the Autumn 24 Hours the same year, and in 2025, Miles-Shelby won with CSM runners-up.
They’re set to slug it out once again.
The other team that has been in the mix on each of those occasions is Greg Owens’ Some Random Bloke – competing for the tenth time – finishing second, second and fourth respectively in the last three outings. They were in a podium position until about 10am on the Sunday last year, when their kart broke down.
With 29 teams in contention, anything can happen.
We’ll be profiling more of the teams as time goes on.
A preview of the DMAX race
All eyes on KBR. James King. His brother Ashley Mayston-King. Pro-racer turned YouTuber Brad Philpot. Ex local championship manager Peter Stockwin. Lee Schnitzler – racing here for 13 years.
They’re the team to beat, unbeaten here for two years in any endurance race they’ve entered. They won this event last year, and the Autumn 24 Hours. They’ve just won the Spanish 24 Hour.
Can anybody stop them?
One team that will be in the running are Six Helmets Racing, who have raced in this event every year since 2018. They came close to winning in 2021, but for a fatigue-induced weight penalty, and pushed KBR all the way last time round. Captain Macauley Pond and his deputy Jake Butler are extremely experienced, and their team of six is littered with talent – and have finished on multiple podiums at this event. They’ll be desperate to go one better this time round!
Algorithmic Ascendancy are a team we see every year and have been racing together for nearly two decades – they finished third at the last outing after having lead the race for the first three hours – until a mechanical problem set them back. They fought hard and climbed from seventh back into third – and their driver Toby Gould claimed the fastest lap of the race.
Voltarol Racing are a team of European powerhouses and are massively accomplished at this event – having competed since 2015. Despite pole positions in 2019 and 2023, they’re yet to finish on the podium. They came close last year, finishing in P4.
There’s 25 teams in contention this year – and at a 24-hour race anything can happen. Mechanical failures, penalties, downpours – expect the unexpected.
KBR finished in sixth in 2024 after a mechanical failure…
Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot
This weekend Milton Keynes is going to be hotter than Athens, Ibiza, Cyprus, Sicily and Malta.
Stay hydrated, folks.

Good Morning
We’re so back and ready for another extravaganza.
We’ll be bringing you all the action from tonight’s Testing, tomorrow morning’s Practice and the Race here for the next 50 hours.
Buckle up.
